Best Buddies
Allen Park Elementary is proud to have an established elementary chapter of Best Buddies, an inclusive program that brings students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities together to build meaningful friendships. Through fun activities, collaborative events, and shared experiences, students learn the value of kindness, acceptance, and belonging while developing leadership, communication, and social skills. Little Leaders, Big Impact
The Allen Park - Little Leaders, Big Impact Program is a mentoring program and leadership development club designed to help elementary students build character, confidence, safety awareness, and community responsibility through positive interaction with law enforcement and community partners. This program emphasizes leadership, service, and prevention-based education while fostering positive relationships between students, school staff, and the Fort Myers Police Department.
WAPE News Crew
The WAPE News Crew gives 5th grade students the opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and technology skills by producing and presenting the school's daily morning announcements. Crew members work together to share important school news, recognize student achievements, highlight upcoming events, and promote school spirit. Through this experience, students build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork while helping keep the Allen Park community informed and connected.
5th Grade Safety Patrol
Our 5th Grade Safety Patrol program provides student leaders with the opportunity to serve as positive role models while helping keep our campus safe and welcoming. Safety Patrol members assist with morning arrival, dismissal, and other school activities, demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and respect. Through their service, students develop confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of citizenship while making a positive impact on the Allen Park school community.
Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving program that challenges students to think outside the box while working collaboratively as a team. Students develop innovative solutions to long-term challenges that combine creativity, critical thinking, engineering, performance, and teamwork. Throughout the season, participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and showcase their talents at regional competitions, all while having fun and discovering the power of imagination.
