Allen Park Elementary is proud to partner with Grace Church in a shared commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional success of our students and families. Through their generous investment of time, resources, and volunteers, Grace Church helps create opportunities that strengthen our school community throughout the year.
One of the most impactful ways Grace Church serves our students is through the THRIVE! Mentoring Program, where caring adult mentors build positive relationships with students by offering encouragement, accountability, and consistent support. Grace Church volunteers also serve as Reading Volunteers, helping students strengthen their literacy skills while fostering a love of reading.
To support families beyond the school day, Grace Church provides Weekend Eats food bags and helps maintain our on-campus food pantry, ensuring that families have access to nutritious food when they need it most. Each month, they also host Family Dinner Night, creating a welcoming space where families can share a meal, build connections, and engage with our school community.
Grace Church faithfully celebrates and encourages both students and staff through attendance and behavior incentives, recognizing positive choices and academic engagement. Their generosity extends to our educators through thoughtful Staff Appreciation events that remind our team they are valued and supported. In addition, the Shoes of Hope program provides students with new shoes and school supplies, helping meet essential needs while building confidence and preparing children for success in the classroom.
