Allen Park  Families,

Teachers are busy at work preparing their Google Classroom for Monday.  On Monday, March 30th, students should check-in with their teacher through Google Classroom. We are making this a HAT DAY, so get ready to show off your favorite hat.  Allen Park will be reaching out to families who have not checked-in with teachers on April 1st through the end of the week.

Below are helpful links to guide us through the upcoming weeks:

  1. The District has provided a wealth of information for Distance Learning. Click on the following link to access the Students and Families’ Distance Learning Plan https://www.leeschools.net/cms/One.aspx?portalId=676305&pageId=29569611

Teachers have access to check your child’s username and password to log-in. Feel free to reach out to the teacher for log-in information. These documents are translated in Spanish and Creole. If you have additional questions go to help.parents@leeschools.net

  1. The Parent ‘I Can’ Checklist is a helpful guide for you in preparing for Distance Learning. Click on the link to access the ‘I Can’ Checklist. https://www.leeschools.net/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=29688245

  1. Food is available for families at https://www.leeschools.net/parent_portal/covid-19/meal_pick_up_sites. Breakfast and lunch are served in a single bag and meals are free to anyone 18 years of age and under. Each child must be present at the pick-up location.

If you are still in need of a Chromebook, please call Allen Park  at (239) 936-1459 to schedule an appointment. The building is closed at this time until further notice.

A BIG thank you to all of our families for your patience, understanding and your teamwork to kick-off Google Classrooms. We are here to assist with needs that arise.

Dear Families,

Welcome to Allen Park Elementary School! The lighthouse at the front of our school symbolizes our welcome to you and reflects our school motto, “ILLUMINATING MINDS”. Our goal is to prepare every student for success by providing a quality education in a safe and well-managed environment.

Allen Park is an outstanding elementary school. Our vision is Today’s learners…tomorrow’s leaders.  Our goal is to create lifelong learners who contribute by serving their community.

We believe all children have unique and diverse educational needs and learn best in an educational environment which is structured to meet those needs. All teachers use the Florida State Standards as a guide for their lessons. The goal is that all children reach mastery of these standards. Kagan structures and differentiated instruction promote active engagement. We believe that students who are engaged are students who are learning. We look forward to working with you and your children, and invite you to be a school volunteer! A strong family-school partnership can only result in an outstanding education for your child.
